Cookie dough balls

I saw this picture of what looked like cookie dough on my friends facebook page - she said she made it with Shakeology!  It absolutely looked amazing in the bowl, just like cookie dough.  And then she rolled it into balls for a quick snack - or in my kids case, BREAKFAST 😊

I modified her recipe a little bit and according to my husband I need to modify it a little bit more.  I thought they were good and the kids scarfed them down.  I guess if you don't like coconut at all, then you need to modify it as well - I'll tell you how I intend to but I can't promise anything at this point!

Making these with Shakeology allows you to get 70+ amazing ingredients including superfoods, vitamins, protein, pre/probiotics, adaptogens, digestive enzymes....you know all that good for you stuff that most of us don't get on a daily basis and probably don't even know what it all is!  The way Shakeology is made though, the nutrients get delivered to you as a whole food (dried) and without any fillers or added sugars.  It can help you lose weight, maintain healthy cholesterol levels, support healthy blood sugar levels, control cravings, support regularity πŸ˜‰, and improve your energy.

Ok, but back to the recipe - gosh who wouldn't want cookie dough for breakfast right?

2 servings of vanilla Shakeology (2/3 cup total)
2 scoops of Orgain Creamy Chocolate Fudge Organic Protein powder (46g total)
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut flakes
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup creamy natural peanut butter (I use Skippy)
1/2 cup honey
flaxseed
chia seeds
1/2 cups chocolate chips (mini if you have them, I did not)

Mix all the dry ingredients together.  Then add in honey and peanut butter.  Let chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.  Roll into balls

Super simple and so yummy!

Now my modification would be to eliminate the coconut flakes and just use the oats for my husband, so 1/2 cup of oats and no coconut.  And if you don't want to make the dough a little chocolatey, just use 3 servings of the vanilla Shakeology.

If you don't have Shakeology and want to try it, let me know and we can talk about samples!

Happy Holidays!

It has been a glorious 5 days off work and time spent with the family!  We normally travel for the holidays, but we had been traveling so much we decided to stay home and have Thanksgiving.  Our neighbor invited us over to join their family so I didn't have to make a big meal for the 4 of us - plus AJ said he would rather go out to eat than make a big meal that may get wasted.  So I accepted the invitation 😊 I did make some pies, chocolate chip cookies and a green bean casserole to bring over 😱 I did quite well with my eating and only had a little piece of cherry pie and pumpkin pie!  I told myself I wasn't going to have any, but I only eat pumpkin pie once a year so I couldn't resist myself! No skipping on the workout though and I tried to make the green bean casserole a little healthier - this (http://smilesandwich.com/2015/10/26/clean-eating-green-bean-casserole/) isn't the exact recipe I used, but similar.  I tried to follow the one on Beachbody on Dem...

Bacon Cheeseburger Skillet

Remember I told you last week that I had made some new meals we loved? Well I didn't get a chance to get back on and tell you about this amazing one.  It's a skillet meal and who doesn't love the lack of dishes to be washed! Bacon Cheeseburger Skillet - I'm in the minority on this in most instances, but bacon is not one of my favorite things to eat.  I can do it in moderation, but it is not I choose most of the time.  So this dinner was made with my family in mind - yep I'm that nice of a mom/wife 😍 The original recipe says to put it in a wrap or over lettuce, but I knew my family really wouldn't go for that, so I decided at the last minute to make some rotini noodles.  With that in mind I would make a slight modification.  I'll tell ya about that as we go through the recipe.   The kids loved this meal so I'm sure I'll make it again because it was also super easy! Great for a weeknight when you don't have much time or you just don...
